The Harmony® Surface Mounted Drop Down Seal system has been specifically designed for use in pedestrian doors. The slim line style of the system incorporates a soft close feature, thereby reducing the closing forces during operation.

Harmony Drop Down Seals have been designed to provide the best acoustic performance whilst offering ease of installation on site. The drop down seals form an effective barrier to seal threshold gaps in pedestrian doorset assemblies and restrict the passage of noise, smoke and air movement.

Installation Instructions

Component overview
Cutting of the recess and perimeter gap Remove the door and prepare to route a groove 35mm deep and 14mm wide. The groove shall be centrally positioned at the base of the door leaf(s). Remove all debris and dust from the routed groove.
Sequence to reverse plunger for framed and frameless Measure the door width and deduct 5.5mm from this measured length (L) At the opposing end of the actuator, mark the measured length (L), pull back the compression seal and using a hacksaw or power saw, cut to length (L). Remove any swarf and debris from the cut end condition. Push the compression seal to the end and cut the seal using a sharp knife.
Location in the door leaf and screw location Place the drop down into the routed groove and fit the end plates to both ends, ensure that the actuator is positioned, in the correct position (closing side). Screw fixing brackets into place using the screws provided.
Adjusting the drop down Open and close the door, to ensure that the compression seal touches the surface. To adjust the clearance distance, pull the ‘actuator’ turning clockwise or anticlockwise accordingly.
