Fire doors are a crucial component in the passive fire protection of a building, and all fire doors must be fitted with the appropriate seals. The fire door strips are placed between the door frame and the door on all four sides. In the event of a fire, the extreme heat causes the intumescent strips to expand and seal the gap between the door leaf and the frame. This contains the fire and allows enough time for people to evacuate the building. By preventing the fire from spreading to other parts of the building, the risk to life and property is greatly minimised.

Smoke Seals

Pyroplex fire and smoke seals also include features that prevent the passage of smoke. Pyroplex flippers are thermally fused to the casing which ensures that they will not delaminate under normal conditions of use. Furthermore, they are made from polyurethane which is tear-resistant. As a result they are the most durable on the market. The flipper and brush seals also have acoustic benefits.

Features

Our fire door strips come in multiple sizes according to the required fire resistance. They have a self-adhesive backing as well as printing for identification and traceability. The fire door strips with casings are all available in six colours to match your fire doors.

Ease Of Use

The manufacturing process for our fire door seals produces a consistent flat base. This creates an improved contact area, which makes the seals easier to fit on site.
