Tsuen Wan Adventist hospital is one of the two Adventist hospitals in Hong Kong. Since 1964 the private sector hospital has served the local community. This hospital is located in the new territories of Hong Kong.
With the ever growing population of Hong Kong, medical services were stretched to the limit. This called for the construction of an extension to the existing Adventist hospital to solve the shortage problem in healthcare in the area. The extension is set to be a multi-story building which will comprise 294 beds and various clinical departments.
Hsin Chong’s building division is the main contractor for the project, while Hsin Chong Aster is responsible for building services installation.
In the construction of the extension Pyroplex 200 and 400 series Pipe collars were used to re-instate the fire resistance of floors which had been penetrated by plastic flammable pipes. The project is expected to be finished in the 1st quarter of 2016.
Pyroplex® CE Marked Fire Collars are tested to BS 476: Part 20: 1987 and BS EN 1366-3: 2009 and has a European Classification in accordance with BS EN 13501-2: 2007–A1: 2009.
