The new edition of the Pyroplex Global Assessment Chilt/A08215 Revision A, prepared by BM Trada has been issued and will be valid until May 2019. The assessment provides an evaluation of fire, smoke and acoustic performance in accordance with British Standards and details configurations for 30, 60 and 90 minute fire resisting door cores incorporating:
- Pyroplex intumescent fire seals
- Pyroplex combined fire, smoke and acoustic seals
- Reddiplex smoke and acoustic seals
The assessment summarises the scope of application for Pyroplex and Reddiplex seals when fitted in leading manufacturer’s proprietary fire resisting door cores. It uses established extrapolation techniques to extend the scope of application. The data is based on performance obtained from previously tested configurations and existing assessments.
All Pyroplex seals have been tested to national and international standards and hold third party approval under the CERTIFIRE scheme, ensuring architects, specifiers, fabricators and installers are receiving products of the highest possible quality.
